Product Summary

The My Alerts module is a flexible and simple system to alert users about actions they need to take. An alert could be action items like electronic approvals, benefit events, or request for information. Alerts can be added, changed and inactivated without any code migrations. It is completely setup driven. We deliver some sample alerts to get you started. You can configure whatever alerts you need. If you can query the database for something for a user or employee id, then you can create an alert for it.

My Alerts FAQ

What are the licensing terms?

When you purchase the “My Alerts module”:../ , you are allowed to install the module in as many of your databases as needed. There is only a one time fee for your organization. There is no on-going license fees and no hidden costs. You just pay the one time fee to purchase the code and sample alerts.

Can I get the documentation?

What are the upgrade implications?

The module is coded in a way to have no upgrade implications. All the objects are designed and coded to be stand alone. If for some reason you do lose an object during an upgrade or your team decides to re-implement, you can just reinstall the objects from the delivered files.

We don’t really like to customize but we are still interested?

Some Organizations maintain a “no customization” policy in their PeopleSoft environments. In the PeopleTools platform, “customization” can mean different things. The “My Alerts” module does not touch or modify any existing delivered code. The objects and code are a stand alone bolt-on. So the upgrade implications are almost zero. Cedar Hills Group has extensive experience performing upgrades and creating bolt-ons and customizations. This experience was leveraged to ensure the module can be safely applied to any PeopleTools installation.

What kind of support do you offer?

With the purchase of the “My Alerts” module, you get two hours of remote installation support. You also get two hours of support around creating new alerts. Additional support beyond that will be billed at an hourly rate.

What about patches to the code?

When bug fixes or feature enhancements are added, you will be notified via email and you can download a new project. There is no charge for these patches.

How do I get my software after I purchase?

After your payment or purchase order is received, you will be emailed a link to download the software.
